35 Picks Requested by You: Vintage Sundresses, Cowhide, Plaids, & More

It’s never too early to snag a perfect winter coat

Happy Tuesday. I’m still hung up on the legendary desserts line-up I experienced this weekend —

  1. Corn sundae with corn ice cream, caramel corn, corn toffee sauce, and bits of corn right off the cob. My god.

  2. Raspberry chocolate tiramisu (pictured below) with ladyfingers soaked in raspberry liquid sandwiched between slabs of mascarpone chocolate fluff.

  3. Turtle sundae with vanilla gelato, fudge, toasted pecans, and salty butterscotch sauce. Gets even better as you get closer to the bottom.

  4. Jammy linzer cookie dunked in strong coffee (raspberry here too).

  5. And a Twix ice cream bar from the bodega, just to round it all out.

If anyone has any idea where I can find corn ice cream year round, please hit my line. It’s a corn-mergency.

Today’s letter is a batch of reader requests. You’ve already started shopping for fall and winter, and it’s showing in the chat. I too can’t stop myself from sweater-browsing even in the most sweltering of heatwaves.

Another lovely thing about shopping vintage and secondhand (on the list of one million lovely things) is that the prices aren’t as affected by seasons or internet trends as when shopping new. A fab cashmere cardi is $35 year-round on eBay.com. And that vintage ‘60s fur coat on your watchlist won’t suffer from ‘mob wife’ inflation because the woman selling it has never scrolled through TikTok before. Stable, fair prices for all!

35 picks in this vintage lot including:

  • summer mini dresses

  • plaid skirts in plus sizes

  • statement winter coats

  • zebra pants

  • cowhide purses

  • & pre-fall wool and cotton cardigans
