The State of the Short in 2025 is in — we’re feeling loose, free, sporty, striped, and heavily inspired by vintage styles. I broke it all down here.
Following cues from the current shorts market, I’ve hunted down 80+ vintage and secondhand shorts that aren’t denim (some are even exact pairs of shorts from the last letter, only secondhand aka cheaper). Board Shorts
Notes for shopping: A lot of board shorts from the ‘90s/’00s come in juniors sizes (especially Roxy), so be conscious of that while browsing. As always, I recommend ignoring the size tag completely and comparing measurements to a pair you already love.
